Hi, all.
In a remote farm (bad cell service, no internet connectivity), I am tasked with commissioning this small Solar Farm. The farm uses 8 Growatt inverters. They are all MAX 125KTL3-X LV models. The accompanying app requires you to be online (in a real counter-intuitive manner), or use an offline section that lets you connect to the device.
I want to be able to monitor them all using RS485 connections. When I hook up one single inverter to my server, I easily get data, but when I attach the second (or more), I stop receiving any data.
I have strong suspicion that the ModBus ID (default 1 I suppose) of the inverters is the issue. They all have the same ID. I could not find any place in the app to change the value of the ID.
Also, when I try to connect to the device using the web administration panel, I am presented with a login form. The default credentials are supposed to be "admin/admin". They are not! I couldn't get it to login with any obvious combination. Tried the word "admin" with all the letter cases possible, Tried a number of zeros, 12345..., anything! No luck. I am pretty sure that the devices are brand new. But can the password have been changed? Or, the more important question here is, how can I adjust the IDs for ModBus on each device?
