Empty battery on a morning

Hi, I’m still in my trial period and have noticed on a couple of occasions my solar battery has been empty on a morning after charging my car. Last night i had a notification from Octopus saying they were unable to control my device which may have been the issue on this occasion.

I specifically want to avoid my solar battery being used when my car is charging. After having solar and battery installed this summer, I’ve been surprised at how difficult this is.

Are these issues I’ve experienced since using wonder watt common, is there something wrong with my setup, have I been unlucky or am I miss-understanding what WW is about?

Any advice would be helpful, as I’m not sure the subscription is worth it if my battery is not being managed how I intend.

Thomasbaboolal What is your WattID please? Find it under the version number in the nav menu.

Have you configured your Octopus API key and account number in the Intelligent section of WW? And toggled the Active button to On?

admin generally no, my scheduled charge slots tend to be within the off peak hours.

AFAIK there is an issue with Ohme Pro and IOG in that the Ohme app manages the charging and not Octopus.
This means WW can't find out about the on the fly charge slots because WW uses the Octopus API to find out about these and Ohme are not telling Octopus.
Also, the Ohme (and Octopus) FAQ say that with IOG, Ohme can't stop the battery discharging into the EV.

I know because I also have an Ohme Pro (and no hair left).

johalareewi recently Ohme have not been able to speak with my cars API. I’ve had to connect both cars via octopus, so octopus is controlling my charging schedule not Ohme.

Thomasbaboolal There is an Ohme FAQ about switching from Ohme back to Octopus for IOG.

If you want to connect your car instead, you’ll need to disconnect your Ohme account from the charger. This stops any mix-ups between Octopus Energy controlling your car’s charging and Ohme controlling the charger.
