MarkyMark This is fine if you export in peak and pull from grid in the daytime period. However, Octopus will never set the import rate so close as the export rate for the same period. My Flux rates are 39.37p import and 28.37p export.

It's for this specific issue that WW want to avoid someone setting up say a 3hr discharge (4pm-7pm) at say 28.37p, and after 30 mins you reach your target SOC. The remaining 2.5 hrs of the export schedule will then pull from the grid (as ECO won't get reset till after the 3hr schedule ends) at 39.37p resulting in an overall loss for the export period.

nbullus I would probably only set the export at the end of the peak slot such that you give back only what you have not used. Having it empty at the end of the slot and then using grid during day rate was my example. Of course not tried that myself so for my Growatt set-up I am not sure just how much I can effectively give back in say the last 15mins of the peak slot.

I have been playing with the discharge times for several days. It has been more problematic in the last few of days where the weather forecasts has not been any guide to solar generation.
I now have a WW schedule running between 1800 and 1900 triggered when the SOC is greater than 60 and discharging to 10. The maximum discharge during the one hour period will never reach this level and the schedule is aborted. Last night the start SOC was 91% and macro aborted 1900 at 62% which is a reasonable level covering the night time through to start of flux period.
When the clocks change and there is more solar generation changes will be needed. For the past couple of days around 11am I have used either the dishwasher or washing machine when solar has allowed the SOC to rise above 90%. It is cheaper to use FREE Solar rather than exporting excess and buying at the Flux rate. It is obviously essential that there remains enough battery to satisfy the Peak period.
The solution I have adopted will do me for now. When solar is plentiful (mid April?) very little change will have to be made. I will always charge to max in the FLUX period, make good use of the solar period for washing machine etc and discharge/export all other excess in the Peak period.

MANY THANKS for yesterday’s update. The fix to the Discharge/export schedule processing now enables one to specify requirement during Peak periods after which consumer demand Iis met from battery rather than Grid. I tried it out this evening.

Next one for me. Now I have export mpan I have been trying to force export. I have WW as below:

and that goes into the growatt dashboard as expected:

but it is not discharging, as shown by the dashboard or my energy display:

I must be doing something wrong?

MarkyMark Looks like we did set it correctly as you noticed, and it will be in your WW Activity log. We set it at around 18:25, 5 mins before the export was due to start.

Everything from there is downstream from WW - ie. Growatt end.

admin That is what I thought. I wondered if any of the other users had experienced this and if this was normal for Growatt. As a programmer this is not as logical as I had hoped ;-)

MarkyMark I mean an inverter is reactive, so sometimes it takes a little while to action certain instructions. It highly depends on various conditions, temperature, general load, BMS control mechanisms and other inputs.

Watched it last night and had changed the schedule in WW to start at 1800 instead. Worked as expected and then at 1830 it stopped not restarting until 1855 for 5 mins. Very odd. Still I can worked around that 'feature' of the inverter.
