Givenergy Cloud (API) Fees

So this morning the Giv community wake up to a Battery Tax [sic] for what we were promised, at point of sale, would be 'Free Forever' software and API use. What these fees will be seem to be subject to consolation in the form of a survey.
Personally I'd rather the reached out to WW and licensed their offering than try and build a replica that is unlikely to be anywhere near (based on Giv software to date).
What impact the Giv decision will have this community is yet to be seen.

JayC Necessity is the mother of invention. I am sure there are some smart folk out there in the Giv community that can do a better local app. Alternatively, AI is very helpful on this sort of thing now.

Crazysquares As a direct result of your nudge I have published the Homebridge work around. Once I have Modbus reliability it will run entirely locally. For added gloss I included tiles for the Home app. (Link not posted in this forum respecting the hard work @admin have done for us all)

No, you & I paid GE for API and now they want paying a second time with a monthly repeat.
