Growatt & Savings Sessions…

Hello one & all…

Relatively new to WonderWatt and just found and signed up to this forum.

First query, which concerns Savings Sessions;
The Growatt app system (ShinePhone) is really pants, hence trying WW after a recommendation on line.

The last three Savings Sessions, where I have set up a schedule on WW have failed with my Growatt system - any clues as to why this is happening please?

Venomator Thanks and welcome.

What is your WattID please? You can find this in the Advanced section at the bottom.

Make sure there isn't an existing conflicting schedule set up and enabled on Growatt.

Venomator So it looks like your Export schedule is currently not Active.

Before that, the last time it was attempted on 2nd March at 17:55, it failed with a Growatt API error. That could be due to a conflicting or overlapping charge or discharge slot during that time.

And the time before, on March 1st, the export wasn't activated because the specified conditions were not met.

Have you been able to set an export schedule successfully via the Growatt portal?

Thank you for your response and taking the time to review my scheduling.

I already have a battery charging schedule set upon WW that mirrors the Growatt scheduling I have.

When I try to mirror the export function from Growatt to WW it fails each time. The most recent didn’t action at all during the saving session, a couple of nights ago, and did not even reflect in activity.

Before that, coincidentally or not, the entire Growatt system became unavailable whether through ShinePhone, Growatt server, Wonder Watt the inverter itself?

I have to say, the Growatt ShinePhone app is a waste of space for anything - it does not even reflect accurately for charging, grid use or discharging. I do regret going with Growatt and would dump it if I could afford to!

Venomator Hi Rog, yeah let's keep an eye on it and feel free to even try a 15 min test export, just make sure you create it 5-10 mins before it is due.

We can then look at what's going on in recent logs and diagnostics to try and get to the bottom of it.

Agreed, ShinePhone app is an abomination! 😄

Hi again, sounds like a plan.

One question for clarity though - should I duplicate the schedule in Growatt, or leave it all to WW?… 🤷🏼‍♂️

Venomator Sorry - forgot to answer that. You can leave schedules in Growatt disabled, and leave it all to WW.

What sometimes happens is, people have some conflicting/overlapping charge/discharge slots enabled and it conflicts with the instructions we send and then it fails at the Growatt end.

Thank you for the information given concerning setting everything in Growatt to "disabled" and having WW to do the enablings. I hope it will help me with my last failures.
