GroWatt - Night charging schedule operating, despite being deactivated

I have a night charging schedule that I toggled to deactive the previous 4 nights. However my ShinePhone app shows that a charging event still happened during those times (2am to 5am). The event is not logged on the WW activity log. Anyone else with this?

Did you have the same thing previously configured in the shine app?

jimmiller23 I think what we may need to look at is to disable the schedule slot we use on the inverter when a user de-activates their charging or export slot in Schedules. But it gets quite tricky, depending on if an instruction/slot is currently running, that we wouldn't want to disrupt, etc.

The workaround for the moment would be to Pause all schedules temporarily, which will disable the charge and export slots on your inverter. Then unpause again.

According to WW (on their recent post) there were some ghost selections from the previous version when the BST fixes went live. I noticed them on my schedules too. A quick reactivation of the schedules fixed it for me.

admin Excellent - will try this today. Super work btw - so grateful that I don't need to interact with ShinePhone to get the flexibility that I want. Keep up the good work!

admin I toggled all the schedules off yesterday. Interestingly, during the night charging slot, the system switched to drawing from the grid to meet any load requirements, but it did not charge the battery. Once the charge window passed (i.e. 5am) the system reverted to drawing from the battery. Like I say, all schedules were toggled off.

admin I'm 90% sure haven't touched the "Pause" settings at all on the WonderWatt app.

The system force charged again last night, despite again be deactivated on the WonderWatt schedules page, so I logged into the ShinePhone inverter settings and saw that the "BatFirst" settings were enabled and that it was mirroring my WonderWatt charging schedule. As I mentioned previously, I have never logged into the ShinePhone settings in this way before, so presume these instructions were created by WonderWatt, but then for some reason the instruction to deactivate this schedule had not been recognised. Let me know if you want me to try any new settings / tests etc.

jimmiller23 Yes, this makes sense, deactivating schedules does currently not disable them on the Growatt/GivEnergy end.

If you want to toggle all scheduled activity off, a better way would be to use the explicit Pause functionality, which does disable the schedule on the Growatt/Giv end as well.
