I am on Octopus Flux, and so charge the battery in the 2-5am cheap window.
At 01:55 or thereabouts these WW rules run:
AC Charge Enable - true
AC Charge 1 Start Time - 02:00
AC Charge 1 End Time - 05:00
AC Charge Upper % Limit - 80%
At 04:55 or thereabouts these rules run:
AC Charge 1 Start Time - 00:00
AC Charge 1 End Time - 00:00
AC Charge Upper % Limit - 100%
There are two things with the above that cause me issues.
- Note that there is no rule at 5am for 'AC Charge Enable - False'
- Also at 5am, the charge start and end times are both set to 00:00
Every morning I log into the GE portal, go in the inverter Remote Control, and manually set 'AC Charge Enable - False'.
The reason for this is due to my Gen 2 inverter doing a strange one minute charge, starting at 00:00:00 and ending at 00:01:00 as per this screenshot:
For the entirety of the one minute the clock shows 00:00, it charges from the mains!! Erm..
The only way I can prevent this is to ensure 'AC Charge Enable - False' is set.
Here I am doing exactly that yesterday:
Clearly, this is a GE fault or feature, but it can be avoided if WW set 'AC Charge Enable - False' at the end of a charging session.
Personally, I would prefer it if WW read the status of the AC Charge Enable field, and returned it back to whatever it was set to prior to the charging session. Failing that, can WW send a 'AC Charge Enable - False' command by default, seeing as you routinely send a 'AC Charge Enable - True' command prior to the charging session anyway?
