I've set now set up with Octopus Agile and I'm struggling to understand the Battery charging settings. During the night it works perfectly, at the cheaper rate the batteries are charged to the stop SOC from the grid. The problem is during the day if we have a cheap rate, my solar can be producing 0.6KW and that will be used to charge my battery and the grid will take the load of the house. I sometimes go into the peak rates with 15% Battery and end up paying for it.
Ideally I'd like my batteries charged from the grid and the house from the grid during the periods. I think the gain I'd get from charging the Battery at a cheaper rate would be more than I'd get from 0.6KW of PV. Although I'm sure I'm wrong.
