Hi just come over form octopus R&D labs and am enjoying your functionality for picking lower slots for charging. It’s good when there is no solar so I can pick the right slots throughout the day.

However what is the best strategy for when there is likely to be solar energy in the forecast?

For me when there ia good solar forecast I would change the number of charge slots overnight from say 10 to 6 as I know i won’t need it to last all day.

I note though that the solar forecast schedule seems to work separately from the agile slot schedule. Is there any way of creating a smart schedule for agile as well? Something like:

Smart slots. Very the amount of charge slots allocated based on the solar forecast and/or pick the best slots overnight to charge the battery to 50%

Yes, this is on the radar, but needs more work, we're currently sorting out the daily forecasts estimations and will be displaying those shortly.

We may be able to sort out some rudimentary metrics from there that we use as a condition for Agile charge windows that fall during the daylight hours, although with our UK winters, not sure how helpful this is....

I did the same during the summer but soon realised that with the cheap overnight Agile import prices and being on 15p fixed export, it was financially better to always fully charge the battery overnight and if there was lots of solar during the day, I exported it at 15p. If there was hardly any solar, I had a full battery.
