I am new user and only used Wonder Watt for a few months before the subs started. I was on Octopus Flex and intended to use your service for Agile over the winter period but Agile prices are pretty poor at the moment. I have recently switched to Eon Next drive as you only need Solar and Battery storage to get low prices from midnight to 7 in the morning. Plenty of time to charge up my 9.5Kwh battery.
Since there is a 7 hour overnight window I plan to run some appliances that rinse the battery, like the washing machine, dishwasher, dehumidifier etc. The thing is I don't see the point of charging the battery at a low rate just to discharge it again overnight as there is no cost saving. The low rate window is so large I might as well run all the appliances that need doing then charge my battery for use over the day time.
So all the complicated stuff on Wonder Watt I don't really need. What I would like is some 'dumb' features added. Could you please set a schedule that pauses the battery? That way, I can run appliances without having to run off the battery. Another feature could be to manually set the charge rate. So far you have options for 100% or to calculate the charge rate needed over a period of time. I have used the smart charge option but could really do with the option to manually set the charge rate. That way I could set a battery trickle charge rate from say, 00:00 to 02:00 when I put the appliances so the battery would slowly charge, effectively stopping it discharging.
I hope this all makes sense - I just want to use set times where I can either pause the battery or manually set the charge rate. If either of these features are added I would be more than happy to subscribe.
