Obiwan Hi I reduce the discharge power on my battery. I’ve noticed the power keeps reverting to full discharge. I suspect it may be something wonderwatt is affecting. I’d appreciate advice. Thanks
KristianS Obiwan Always good to quote your Watt ID when asking questions. Have you checked what settings you have the advanced settings page that may be affecting this? https://app.wonderwatt.com/advanced
admin Obiwan Yeah we do set that back to max at the moment. The rates in Advanced are mainly for calculations, they're not persisted to the inverter. We'll get a fix out and snapshot it before charging, then set it back to what it was after.
Obiwan KristianS thanks Kristian my id is edible-east I looked at the advanced settings as you suggested and it was helpful. I couldn’t tell which setting related to the discharge rate for the battery. I want different battery charge and discharge rates if that makes sense? Many thanks Paul
KevinD admin That's good. I have set my charge rate to 3kW overnight in in WW during this cold weather and may even drop it further to spread the charge over more slots. This setting was adhered to last night. I have an AIO with a default 6kW discharge capability and would like the discharge to rate to mirror this. Spirited Drag
KristianS KevinD It will be interesting to see how this plays out in reality. I have seen on GivEnergy forums that if the charge rate is too low or not Full > Empty [4%] > Full then the SoC [State of Charge] of the AI can go a bit haywire on some firmwares. I too have seen some oddities but nothing to be able to make any ascertions on. Keep us posted of your experience, please.
