Free energy scheduling

Hi all I notice on agile that there is alot of free energy tonight... I'd like to setup forced charge/discharge schedules for my battery overnight, what is the best way to do this?

James, welcome. Always a good plan to state your WattID when asking questions - it can be found in the bottom left of the navigation panel or on the Advance settings page.

If however you want to 'HOLD' your battery and pull mostly from the grid, then you will need to enable the slider that says 'Hold' and your battery will use grid power instead and then only charge in the cheapest slots, which just now means that Octopus will pay you for the energy you use as it is currently negative pricing.

KristianS thanks, so when the cost of enery falls to zero and below, there is no charge? Especially if the cost is in the minus range, what does this mean?

Nost Zero means you do not pay anything for the electricity you consume. Bonus.
Negative means that they pay you to use electricity. Double bonus!
I have had days where I have used 15kWh and even with the standing charge added, they have charged me £0.15 for the day. Not every day, so you take those days to offset the more expensive ones, overall I was saving 40% or more.
