Just wondering how this figure is derived as it always seems a bit high for my situation? Just wondered if it was anything to do with settings I put in or whether it was a blanket estimation.

Keith I queried this a while back too and I think the essence of the reply was that it is still work in progress. As Mr Messy says it is notoriously difficult though in winter especially. I have south facing panels and find that the Solcast forecast linked to my Givenergy portal are remarkably good compared to these so far strange wonderwatt numbers.

Solar generation is notoriously difficult to predict in winter, with the sun being so low in the sky. It doesn't take much in the way of low cloud/mist/fog, or obstacles between you and the horizon, to throw it away off.

I adjust/lie about the "solar capacity" (mine's EW split, so even more tricky) on this page to get somewhere closer, depending on time of year...
