  • Charge cheap rates based on next days solar

Hi now we are getting some sun, I am looking to change the overnight charging behaviour to suit the expected solar generation for te next day. at the moment I am charging with 8 slots of agile cheap rates and I end up with a fully charged battery in the morning, the sun then tops up the battery and exports.

how can I change the setup so it only charges enough to take me through the night and have the battery topped up by the sun when sunny, or top up fully if not enough sun next day

thanks

Solar forecast isn't yet integrated into the app yet afaik. Best thing to do is adjust the SOC target level and keep an eye on the forecast

Thanks, thats a shame, might just stick with agile schedule then, but reduce the slots

Robbie Yes, if you reduce your 'Charge at least' from 100%. That's basically the minimum charge that will be applied if the WW calculated smart target is less than the 'Charge at least' value, which if you specify 100%, WW smart target will always be lower.

admin That won't take into account Agile pricing though will it?

Kevin Correct, it won’t, it’s currently only available in the custom schedules.

forgetting rates for now, i amnot sure whats going on or the change I need to make, but last night my batter charged at a rate on 22% all night but was full a 01:00 and remained in charging battery even though there is 45kw of sun today.

what I would have expected was for it not to charge over night because there is a good forecast today. what am I doing wrong or need to change. i think at 22:00 I was under 50% soc

          name is old-dust

Robbie You have your Charge at least SOC target set to 100%, which will always override the smart SOC target WW calculates. See it as a 'min charge target at all times'.

            Change to something like:

admin Thanks, I have changed it to how you have shown, will see what that does, thanks
