Agile smart charging

Hi. I’m new this app
I’m assuming that using the Agike smart charging us the same as if I were to set a battery 1st schedule in the ShinePhone app?
I’ve set it up ok I think as per instructions but In getting these messages on my activity log

Failed to set inverter schedule for Agile slot - retrying in 30 mins

Later it did show this
Charge instruction set to 100% for 10:00 - 16:00 - Agile Octopus

Any suggestions as to what I need to check in my settings ?
I’ve only set one schedule with 20 slots for today’s plunge pricing

Looks like it has worked then (based on the subsequent successful instruction) and so settings are correct, but the failure may have been down to a network/connectivity issue. Will let you know what the logs show once we know your WattID.

If the battery is full and the export price is higher than the import cost (eg a plunge price day). Can the system discharge the battery to the grid until the price goes back to the 10p nominal setting
Ie can I make a profit when the electricity is below 10p and export is say 15p. ?

CheviotGrowatt it's not automatic. You'll need to schedule import and export slots according to your own calculations as to when is best for you to do so. Similar to if you decide to import overnight, how much and at what price can only be decided by how much power you need overnight and what your risk factor is regarding predicted sunshine for the following day.
It's now in beta testing (I believe. Ie not yet rolled out to all users) to make this easier all on the Agile page.

That sounds a bit complex so I’ll leave as it is for now until you geniuses come up with a system.
I guess it would mean setting a schedule that if the export process higher than a set import price (ie say 5p) then it would export to the grid if the battery is full irrespective of of whether there was solar generation or not ?

If you want to automate the export and import of electricity to make a profit, and you are a bit tech savvy, have you looked at Predbat?
