Octopus free electricity session schedule

Could there be auto schedule to charge battery when Octopus have a free electricity session? Setting manually when I catch the email but an auto schedule would be amazing.

jhadaway I'm sure it's possible but, I can foresee a few issues with this:

would probably interfere with peoples Agile settings.
it definitely messes with the IOG integration if you get a smart charging slot for some or all of the free period.
I don't think there's anything in the Octopus API that you could use as a trigger.

MrMessy Providing the schedule is optional and cannot see it interfering with Aglie or smart charging slots. I believe the API does have a state that changes when there is a free electrically session. Via HA use it to switch on the hot water and charge the car, I just can't automatically change the growatt battery.

Yes you can setup a 1-off schedule for the 'free' hour when you get the email but you have to catch this.
My question is: is WonderWatt intellegent enough to realise that it will be getting an extra 1hr of energy (i.e. 3kWh) during the day so that it will automatically adjust the offpeak overnight charge schedule (that happens everynight as I'm on on the 'Economy7' daytime/nighttime tarrif)?
Otherwise I have to adjust my WonderWatt 'settings' to reduce the amount of power that I say I use each day, because I don't want the battery to be charged up as much as it otherwise wood, so that it is depleated by at least 3kWh by say 14:00 when the free energy starts.
And then of course I have to remember to reset this setting before that night so that I get enough charge for the following day!
