Day One Setup for IOG

We've had solar panels, a battery and a Zappi charger with EV for some time and until I heard of WW every time my phone notified that my car was charging during the day I'd go into the Solax App and set my battery to charge for the same period so I could then use the battery after the expensive tariff kicked back in. I thought from reading about WW that I could use it to do the same.
So I went about trying to set it up yesterday, but clearly got something wrong - my battery charged yesterday afternoon when it was expensive, and now this morning it's keeping the battery at 100%, despite the solar not generating enough to power the house but there being power in the battery.
Is there a setup guide for first time users - I'm not sure I've got the right toggles in the right places with the right values and would appreciate any help folks can provide? I've looked through various previous posts but don't seem to be able to find what I'm looking for.

RTRSTAR Thanks - we're looking into this.

Your WW toggles are in the right places, but it looks like the registers for Solax inverters are different for your AC coupled inverter.

We'll aim to deploy a fix out within the next 30 mins that hopefully will address this.

Thanks for the help with this - it seems the error messages aren't coming thorough anymore and I'm now getting the following: Charge instruction set for IOG 12:26 - 13:00: 100% target at charge rate of 100% - which sounds like it might be the right kind of thing. But something still doesn't seem quite right as the house is drawing power from the grid and yet the battery has power but isn't discharging and powering the house.

RTRSTAR The IOG charge instruction is to charge your battery at the same time as your EV is getting cheap IOG slots assigned.

During those slots, you cannot have the battery being used for house load, as it can only be either in charging or discharging mode.

Thank you for your responses, very much appreciated and sorry if I'm misunderstanding how this all works; but the screen shots above were outside of a cheap IOG period and were when I would be paying full price for units. I thought, and maybe, as I say, I've misunderstood, but at that point, when it is full price electricity I would have thought that the WW integration doesn't do anything and the system is left alone, so if there is power in the battery it powers the house.

RTRSTAR You will need to make sure that your AC coupled inverter’s working mode is set to self use.

Thank you for all the support and advice - it is now working, but each time an IOG cheap period is initiated and the battery charges it kicks it into Force Time Use with the timings of the IOG cheap period. Unfortunately when the cheap period is over (or if it changes) it then stays in Force Time Use so doesn't power the house, or it has a very extended charging period set, as in the picture, so keeps trying to charge.
Any further advice would be much appreciated.

I think I've sorted it, the Charge 2 period had been partially reset but not the start time, so it was causing an override. Although I also now need to keep it on Force Time Use and not Self Use but WW seems to send an instruction for Start and end time of Charge 1 and then outside that it goes back to self use.

RTRSTAR We'll make sure we set it back to Self-Use afterwards, which I don't think is happening at the moment, will let you know once fixed.

Sorry to come back on this one again, I thought it was all sorted, but actually I don't think the 'self-use' instruction was the problem. After first setting it up the instructions being sent to Solax were changing the times on the 'force time use' Charge Period 1 which reflected the cheap Octopus periods, but somehow the Charge Period 2 had been set from 0200 to 0000, therefore overriding anything between those times. I then set the Charge 2 Period to 0000-0000 and after that it all seemed to be working well.
Unfortunately I think the update that puts the Work mode back to Self Use then kicked in and now the battery isn't charging during cheap IOG periods as it's in self use. If I set the force use time myself, it then kicks it back to self-use after only a few minutes and won't charge. Not sure if I have a different battery/software that is causing a variance to how others are set up but it looks like actually it uses the Force Time use to send the instructions to the inverter. Could I please ask you therefore to reverse the last update as I now can't charge the battery.

Evening, I'm afraid it isn't working again. It did briefly all work the other day but is now not. I got home after work today and plugged the car in, 30 seconds later was notified by Octopus of a charge period of 2000-0500. At 2000 I checked and the battery wasn't charging but the timings had changed to 2030. At 2030 my car started charging but my battery did not. Looking at the activity log it looks like an instruction was sent to the inverter at 2003 to charge between 2000-0600 but the battery hasn't started charging and the timings don't appear to be reflecting the most recent Octopus IOG timings on the Octopus App.
I'd love to get this working and really appreciate the support you're giving.

RTRSTAR Strange, because the instructions we sent to Soalx were successfully received without any errors. Including the charge from 20:00-6:00.

Sorry but something still isn't working, from the logs I can see that instructions were sent to the Inverter at 20:02 on 2 Oct to charge, and the battery was at 10%, instructions to charge were sent again at 2100 and 2132 but as you'll see the battery was still at 10% and had not charged at all.
This was working the other day for about 36hrs and then something has changed and the instructions may be getting through to the inverter but are not being implemented - any thoughts?

@admin , not sure what’s happening now but any instructions sent during the day seem to work and be implemented by the inverter, but for some reason the instructions in an evening are getting an error message and the battery isn’t charging overnight. Can you please take a look and see if you can identify what’s happening?

RTRSTAR Looks like the target SOC of 100 could not be set. Very odd. See logs below.

Maybe it's something to do with the fact the Solax inverter is at 10% and in idle mode? But why fail at that specific instruction/register setting?
