How will it require less power? If you want your battery to charge up to a certain %, the same amount of kWh is required to get it there.
Surely your energy provider does not charge you more for the kW rate/throughput you pull at any one time? Total kWh consumed within a period has to be what matters.
In any case, you can in fact use our 'Auto charge rate' and toggle that to on. That will reduce the charge rate for the period, and improve battery longevity.
