Is this correct behaviour?

I have a charge to 100% set all day today. I expected it to stay at 100% and hold once it got there. What actually seems to happen is WW detects it has reached 100% and turns charge enable off. The Inverter is then in ECO mode using battery (not what I wanted). 30 minutes later charge has dropped a bit so charge enable is turned back on again back up to 100%. Ad Infinitum.

WindyMiller Have you got Hold set for the Agile window in question?

I think @johalareewi gets around this by setting the Agile charge window target SOC to 101%...

admin It isn't in an Agile Window so I can't set anything to 101%. They are just 30 minute slots set to charge so the process that checks every 30 minutes is turning charge enable on and off - incorrectly in my view.

Having to set an Agile window is un-intuitive although I have just done that.

This is an example of when it would be good to be able to set Hold slots on the agile charge window as we can set charge or export

MikeC Hold is useful for holding at other %ages but charge should really mean go to target charge and stay there. That's the way GE interpret it.

WindyMiller I see, so perhaps we just need to offer an option in the Advanced settings for Agile:

Hold when at 100% for charge slots outside Agile windows?

WindyMiller It isn't in an Agile Window so I can't set anything to 101%.

I have the same problem. I have a workround where I have an Agile window that covers the slots where there is no Agile window and I set the SOC test to 101% and 0 slots auto selected. I can then manually select slots in this window and they will always execute regardless of battery SOC.

Why does the recheck every 30 minutes need to turn off charge enable? On GE inverters the charge automatically stops when it reaches the set charge and you don't need to turn charge enable off. It will just hold itself there using a small amount of energy to cover losses (about 30W). This is not the same as hold slots which set discharge current to 0 and which results in a 300W discharge which is quite high (and is unavoidable as far as I can see).

johalareewi Thanks. I'm using something similar now with 101% in the SOC less than field.

I am using 12 slots so that they are all pre-selected then I deselect the ones I don't want. Then I keep hold on so that I don't discharge in any gaps. Achieves the same result so that 100% stays as 100% but what a kludge!

I thought WW were looking at an advanced setting where users could enable or disable the "skip AC charge when battery SOC = 100%".
The current setting is enabled but it would be cool to be able to turn this off.
Then it would work for agile slots that are not in a window and save having to use the SOC test 101% workround.
