Changing hold settings

Although set to hold over night, the settings allowed upto 3000w to come from the battery. For the life of me, I can't find how to change this to 0w

This is normal for newer GE inverters. There is always some battery discharge even when you set it to zero.

Older inverters like my Gen1 can actually set the discharge to zero.
This might not be a good idea because if the grid went down at night and no PV then the inverter would have no electricity and would turn off. By having some battery discharge available, the inverter has a source of power in case of emergency.

I think what happened was during a hold period, there were a couple of export slots set and the system didn't revert back to hold once the export slots finished. I've now turned eco off during export so the blip during hols hopefully doesn't occur again

johalareewi doesn't usually play like this. When the half hour slots are low, I hold so the house draws from the grid because it seems silly to buy at say 15p and then use at 15p. I seem to remember being able to select how much the battery draws on eco though. I certainly don't want 3kw to be drawn as it defeats the object of eco

Could be a bug. When export slots were added to the scheduler, there were issues with hold being turned on and off. I have stopped using hold at the moment so don't know if the problem is still there.
