Hello there. Please can you help. My wonderwatt and Intelligent Octopus Go/ GivEnergy battery integration was going great. Till today. For some reason the battery has stopped discharging and cannot work out why. I assume related to the wonderwatt API. Battery and inverter otherwise seem fine- online, taking smart charges and I can force discharge. Just no automated battery discharge.

Thanks. It’s all sorted but I had to revoke the API. This is the reply from the firm that installed batteries: Your system is now working. The DC charge was turned off via your app. There were also calibration changes that had been made in between the API making changes to your system, setting the system to full capacity. I’m not sure if this is something you may have done or if there was a glitch in the API, as the changes only show up as “Server” changes. I have not reinstated the API as yet. Any ideas on the glitch? Thanks

ugm5mck Glitch in the API means GivEnergy's API, this is unrelated to WW. Glad it's working for you now.

admin thanks so much. Any idea why the givenergy battery would have suddenly stopped auto discharging? Could that just be the API? I have yet to reinstate the API as don’t want the same thing to happen again. Thanks.

My GE Gen 1 3.6 Hybrid inverter stopped auto-exporting to my home load on the 11 November and nothing I do can cure it. I also believe it could be a GE api glitch that switches off dc export at the end of a WW scheduled export. I’ve created a new GE api token twice, done hard and soft inverter reboots but it still comes back to the dc export flag. If I set it on via the GE portal, it still doesn’t export. Eco mode flag is on btw. I’ve been waiting 9 days for GE Support to pick up my request….
I am on IOG tariff
Any ideas I could try please?

FYI, the inverter is idle for a lot of the time since this fault occurred, as it is now.
Amongst other things, I upgraded the battery firmware to v3020 shortly after discovering the fault.

If I set it on via the GE portal, it still doesn’t export..

So, pausing schedules on WW and using the Giv app/portal does not work either? In which case it makes sense to get Giv to look at this first, before anything else, which as you say you have already done.

Correct. At one stage I completely disconnected WW and made changes on the portal and even tried a GE automation as a last resort….no joy there either.
I will keep trying GE; good to know you are here to advise though..

Hi, just seen your post. After much persistence, I finally had a call from Martin at GE tech support yesterday afternoon. He found the culprit at battery SOC calibration register #29 and fixed it straight away.
It seems older gen1 hybrid inverters like mine can get confused by rapid state changes demanded by WW schedules and that’s what happened to mine.
