Log in issue : can not connect to Growatt

I have a connect issue. I can not make a connection with my growatt username and password on the Wonderwatt connect page. I select Growatt to connect to and then give my username and password and click “connect”. It constantly tell me “An error has occurred. This application may no longer respond until reloaded." I take it the username and password should be the same as to log in on Growatt Api server pages. Anything I can try ?

I have a similar issue - when I press "connect" the button colour changes but then nothing happens.

Could be an issue with the Growatt API, and possibly a different response coming back that we're not expecting.

We'll have a look through the log/diagnostics and get back to you.

Hi @Jorrit and @KateAyres - could you please try again, we have added some more diagnostics in to help us troubleshoot this issue.

Unlike GivEnergy, Growatt's API is very much undocumented and seems to have inconsistent behaviour for different devices/configurations.

Bear with us, we might need to roundtrip a few more times with your help.

admin thanks for that. Tried a couple of times, but do not beyond the message “An error has occurred. This application may no longer respond until reloaded." - so no change for me. . Tried on mobile device , PC, Macbook... no change..

Hi , I keep trying from time to time , but seems no luck. You think there will be any progress with interface to server or are you giving up on Growatt log in ? Thanks to advice

Hi I was trying to enter details today, but on checking Growatt server is having update today so no connectivity which will not help me today

Growatt site now online, but cannot complete signup to wonderwatt either on pc or iphone despite google welcome name saying continue you still get error message, and to try reloading. It would be helpful if admin says we have issue, rather than user continuing repeatably with the same end result. Frustrating, it does not give you confidence in trusting program to manage your system.

Growatt servers are up and down at the moment and probably into next week due to upgrade work to help scale and stabilise the system. This seems to affect the phone apps and website at server.growatt.com

Yeah, there's been a complete overhaul to the Growatt dashboard and the way it interacts with the (undocumented) API. This is going to take a while, if they even revert it.

Closely following HA forums as well, but I don't think there's an easy or good solution yet.

KateAyres Can you please try this again and @Jorrit could you try the same? Whilst you might get the same error, we built some more detailed logging and diagnostics in, which will allow us to troubleshoot the problem better.

admin hi admin , it seems it now connects , so a step further .. but I now have the issue the it says my TLX version not (yet) supported.

Growatt's server seems to be a bit flaky at the best of times, I've had problems in the past trying to connect with my own custom software
