  • Release 441 - Scheduled Export fix

Hi,

We just deployed release 441, see the Release Notes.

One of the big things addressed here is the earlier cut-off in terms of end time for the export, based on a calculation of current SOC, stop SOC and the max discharge rate. Shortly before (minute or two) this new end time is due, we reset back to Eco (for Giv) and 'disable' the schedule.

You will see any shortened/adjusted end time calculation shown in the activity log, identifiable by the (adjusted) suffix. Note that your original end time for the export window does not get updated. We use a different field in the background, to manage this.

Let us know if you encounter any issues.

    Still working fine here for export. I like this. Any news about SMART export ?
    I'm now wondering whether you can shorten / adjust the end time calculation also for import. Should be the exact same logic + set back to ECO.
    I often encounter what you see below:

    I often only need to put just a tiny little extra in the battery in my cheap charging slot from 2-5am. Since it is sometimes so small (few % only) your calculation lowers the charge power a lot, but even with that, the desired charge is reached much earlier than 5am (sometimes 3am). That means that whatever electricity the house needs from say 3-5am, it will now pull from the grid.

    Could you also fix that the same way ?

        admin hi, I cannot get a scheduled export to work at all. I am using Agile without any solar and want to export spare battery in the evenings.

        Times set for every day of the week and it does not mattter what I set the SOC targets to.

        Any tips?

                2:45 am: battery charged at desired level, but house will keep pulling from grid until 5am (smart charging on)

                This happens more and more often as we now get more sunshine.

                    JMA Makes sense yeah, although this should probably be an option/toggle for import.

                        I have asked for this from GE as its always been illogical, but they say it works as it should but never explained why they think such. To be exporting to the grid and then importing from the grid in the same HH slot is not something I need.
                        If you can fix this it would be a winner.

                          4watts We’ve already addressed this for export as a default - for Giv users.

                          It will calculate when you hit target stop SOC and will reset back to eco at that time, which may be before your original end time.

                            Can you add that for import (with a toggle) ?

                                Last night’s adjusted discharge seemed to stop early, target was 15% but stopped around 30%. Not sure why this was, would a change in the solar power forecast affect this?

                                  Ifgow Nope solar forecast doesn’t affect this, it’s based on your discharge rate and battery SoC at the start of the export. For which we then calculate the expected adjusted end time.

                                  Some users split their export windows into two (5 mins apart) with a new SOC condition to overcome this.

                                          Ifgow We could do yeah - though it would mean that you may risk drawing from the grid during a time when the prices are expensive, as we would only revert Eco back at the end of your export window.
