  • adjusted - Export to grid inctruction not working

admin

I too have fallen foul of this in the last few days...

So how about a clear error message at the point of trying to set overlapping shedules (whether export, import or both) that there is a conflict? i.e. the system checks any overlaps and immediately flags up the issue??

Having adjusted times the two planed expprts did not happen
WW log looks ok:

4watts That's very odd - looks as we'd expect from our entries in the Giv logs. Can't see anything out of place.

Anyone else with a Giv inverter that has seen a similar behaviour? May be worth asking in the dedicated Giv forums too.

Just had a similar problem. Was watching the energy graph and seeing about 36 Watts being discharged. Looked around at the settings and tried a couple before setting

    Battery started discharging 2.44kW
Not sure if this is the right solution as I am probably losing some solar power, but is in the right direction

    4 days later

I have had my discharge time adjusted from 16:00 - 19:00 to 16:00 - 18:08. Can you tell me why please?

Daveb10000 Yeah - based on your discharge rate and stop SOC percentage, the calculation is that you will reach the stop SOC by 18:08.

On the whole, this is really done to make sure people aren't drawing from the grid during the remainder of your export window, when you have already reached your target SOC stop.

That's a great new feature, I have drew from the grid many times because my battery reached full!

Thank you for the reply, I have just posted the same question in another post sorry.

So I have now set up two export schedules 16:00 - 18:00 & 18:05 - 19:00, I have lowered my SOC from 40% to 30% so see if this fixes the issue today.

        Thank you again.

I have a quick question as it may affect the discharge to grid algorithm? & affect the end time calculation.

I have a SolarEdge inverter at 6kW, a GE AIO that can charge and discharge at 6kW, however I have a DNO restriction of 3.6kW discharge.

I have put these settings in the Advanced Tab/Inverter & Battery Settings. But there is not a setting for DNO export limit?

Daveb10000 It's a good point, but I think even if we introduce a DNO export limit and use that for the calculation, it will also depend on the current amount of solar PV you got coming in.

So it will/can still be ways off.

Plus to many settings may cause more issues for you guys, so think your right, I will just leave as two schedules and adjust the %

Thank you again for the advice
