Hi, I’m new to Wonderwatt. Installed solar last September so I’m only now experiencing the effect of clipping, hence looking at Wonderwatt.
I have a smart charge scheduled overnight on IOG up to 40%. A scheduled discharge for a hour in the evening.
Today has been very dull, and so I thought my battery would be charged to avoid needing to use solar generation in the day -unless of course the solar forecast is wrong?
What I could have exported today has gone into the battery.
I’m not sure if I’ve got something wrong.
Attached a screenshot in case it helps. (Peaks are EV and Eddi. (My Eddi only heats during the day if I’m exporting over 3.6kwh.)
Solar forecast not adjusting over night charge?
biodegradable-win
KayJay Yeah, it just looks like based on your input for daily usage, 8kWh and battery capacity of 5.2kWh, given that the solar prediction for your system was around 9kWh, the decision was to charge up to 40% only.
Looks like you tweaked it now to always charge to 100%, in which case you don't need the smart charge, and can change it to a Fixed charge instead.
