Our current Release 728 has a feature for Quick Charge or Discharge schedules on the dashboard. We'd like to test it properly first, which is why it is limited to users who would like to opt-in and test it. Small observation. I think the Dashboard System Energy Flow refreshes every 5 mins? But does not refresh with a page refresh?

Not sure of the thinking... e.g. could it also manually refresh with a page refresh?

Tima441 Good observation, however, for both Giv and Growatt it only updates every 5 mins via the API anyway, which is why we cache it for 5 mins. Forcing refresh will show the very same value for 5 mins even if we made the API call.

2) I have "pause charge" set so all my solar is exported. Have you got code to unset/reset this, otherwise the quick charge won't work?

Yeah, sort of, though it works like this now for Growatt users too, who haven't got easy charge/discharge functionality like this.

I'll give them a go tomorrow when it's sunny, so I don't pull too much from the grid at day rates.
Not sure when I'd normally use the quick charge, being on IOG, but I can see how it would be useful for others.
Quick discharge could be useful for DFS sessions, if they have a similar format to last year.
Also, I've thought of how it may be useful for summer😅 to create space to manage clipping, more on that later (bet you're intrigued 😆).

@admin if I'm understanding correctly "Quick Schedule" will Schedule a charge or discharge immediately for a fixed period 20 mins - 120mins

I need to restest... but I think after a Quick Schedule has ended it will repeat same action on following days until stopped? I don't think this is my preference.

My preferences:

A Quick Schedule charge/discharge would be a one off event. (OR have options such as fixed number repeats or repeat until a certain date or (as now) until stopped). To me one off is the more likely usage as repeats should be created with full scheduler?
A Quick Schedule would have an option to set a start time as well as current option to start immediately. I realise this brings it closer to the full scheduler but is useful to try and time best with tariffs or events.
2 above would also allow a quick Schedule charge to be set as well as a quick Schedule discharge to also be set. In some circumstances setting say both a discharge and then an hour or 2 later a charge

It is indeed a one-off event.

Yeah, the whole point is to make it easy, and not for it to morph into effectively the full blown schedule.

I think once we introduce the one-off setting into the Schedules, it will definitely help in a variety of user scenarios.

30min discharge worked perfectly. Only niggle I noticed was on the WW portal it stayed showing "stop" after the end time and I had to press this to get back to a point where I could choose another option (no screenshot unfortunately).

Quick charge failed. All commands were sent as expected but, as we thought, it doesn't disable the "pause charge" option I have enabled.
It would need a command to change this to "not paused" at the start and then revert back at the end.

Thanks - found this bug, wasn't affecting Growatt.

We'll make the Quick Schedule functionality publicly available shortly.

Makes sense, this will take us a bit of time, as we will need to introduce our settings snapshot mechanism.

Do you know which API setting this is for Unpausing and Pausing the battery? I also think this may be different for different gen inverters and FW, which will be a bit of a pain.
