Web Api call to trigger Hold Charge?

Hi there,

As suspected, my Ohme car charger Intelligent Octopus slots aren't appearing. I'd really like to either charge the battery during the scheduled charge times or at the very least enable the Hold Charge functionality so I'm not dumping my battery storage into my EV. I've setup automations in home assistant which are able to track when the car is charging and pause it if it's outside the overnight window, but as this results in decreased charging times (the Ohme schedule also decides to stop charging during some of the off peak time) I'd really like to stop pausing and instead engage Hold Charge mode.

Is there a Web Api call or query I can make from Home Assistant to turn on / turn off Hold Charge?

AndrewChappell Depending on your inverter gen and FW, you could Pause charging on your battery.

Get all settings first, and you should be able to see the Pause / Unpause options in the settings list, which you can then send to the API.

Ahh I have a Growatt inverter, I was kind of hoping I'd be able to use Wonder Watt for this as I don't think Growatt have any public facing apis 😊

AndrewChappell Ah I see, it’s much more tricky with Growatt yeah. Lot of reverse engineering involved, far from ideal.

Interesting use case though…
