Can you tell us about it first, so I know how you're going to charge the battery under what circumstances... For instance, I would suspect per half hour depending on the price of the input at that time, charging at the lowest prices during the day and making sure there is enough charge in battery for the peak time. That means charging perhaps many times during the day to get the absolute lowest tariffs. That will then look something like this - the reason they're greyed out is because the time is in the past: [URL=https://i.imgur.com/U5CcBmX.png][IMG]https://i.imgur.com/U5CcBmXh.png[/IMG][/URL] Which means 4 separate charge slots would be sent to the inverter prior to the start time of each of those 4 contiguous blocks. You can also easily select and deselect slots and Save your changes for scheduling. Does that make sense?

I've been using the Agile integration for 5 days now, and I'm massively impressed how well it works, saving me a heap of faff each evening trying to program my Growatt system to use the best 1/2hr slots. I've missed a few slots (especially during the price-plunge night), but these omissions have been attributed to known bugs which have now been sorted👍

As others have said, I guess a way to control the rate of charge would be good, for those who want to get into that level of detail, to help with battery longevity etc.
When the days get longer, the ability to enter 2 separate strings of solar panel details (as mentioned in another thread) for those with panels on both sides of their roof would be great.
I just need to get my head around using Wonder Watt in coordination with manually setting up my EV charger (and occasionally my solar-diverter / water-heater on price-plunge nights) to best use the 1/2hr slots. Any plans to integrate EV chargers as well as inverters into this system??
Adding smart plug integration would also be great, to allow the control of any electrical appliance based on 1/2hr pricing (currently doing this manually, which is more faff).

Really enjoying using Wonder Watt and keen to get others on it!

In terms of EV integration, it's a bit of a minefield with rubbish APIs mostly.

I think one suggestion here that came up before was to basically minimise the inverter battery discharge rate during a charge window (when using the 'Use battery if...') to around house-load level. This would mean any appliance that needs a few kW would automatically draw that from the grid, thus not depleting your battery accidentally.

But when the Battery is charging doesn't that mean that all electric come from the grid, so you could charge at full 7kWs for the car and also the full 3kWs to the battery, and basically use household items without risk also? I used to do it all the time on the Cosy tariff in the afternoons! But I'm guessing I confused this sentence somewhat?

Gazzagreen Sorry yeah, my bad, it can't charge and discharge at the same time. I knew what I meant, but it came out rather confusing!

This was specifically for the Smart Charge where you conditionally could opt to use the Battery based on SOC and solar forecast, but then choose to lower the discharge rate to say 250Wh.

Mat It looks like you haven't configured an Agile Charge window in your Agile Octopus section?

WW looks at active Agile Octopus charge windows first and then cycles through the relevant 30 min slots.

If you set up an Agile Charge window with number of slots to fill, the cheapest slots will be selected for you automatically.

Does that make sense?

We probably should guide the user better and maybe not have the 30 min slots available for selection unless you have configured an Agile Octopus charge window.

So I've just re-joined here having not used WW since last summer and must say I'm really impressed at the improvements. I'm changing over to Agile at midnight tonight and think I've set everything up correctly for a charge in the early hours. Have set 17 slots between midnight and 0830., and manually chosen a few of the cheaper slots.

Capt_Rich The charge window is so WW can automatically fill in your slots for the next day when they appear about 4pm upto how many slots you have chosen, in my case 17. I have chosen all day 00:00 to 23:59.

Capt_Rich The routine for that only runs twice, once at 16:15 every day and at 23:00.

Any user with an Agile Octopus window specified and that has not self selected individual slots yet, will get their schedule pre-populated at those times.

We will be adding functionality for new users that have just configured their Agile Octopus charge schedule to automatically pre-populate upon saving.

Capt_Rich One more thing, notice that the 'price below' in the Advanced settings will select any 30 min slot that is under 16p.

The setting basically means: Always charge any 30 min slot (regardless of your Agile Charge window) as long as it is below the value you specify.

admin I was trying to use the individual 'tiles' on a individual daily basis rather than necessarily use a daily setting that is the same each day. Some days I wouldn't need to charge

admin yes that's how I understood it. I was originally on economy 7 @15p and just looking at the prices tomorrow I set 16p as the threshold to make sure there's sufficient to charge the battery. I presume WW will always default to using the cheapest slots against the number of slots chosen (ie 17 in my case)?

Just to get it straight in my mind, what happens if I hadn't adjusted it?
