Capt_Rich The inverter timeout is unfortunately a response we get back from Giv. We don't really have much control over that.
Sometimes this can happen if the Internet connection to your inverter is not that solid.
You're right that occasionally the inverter might still get the message, yet we do get an Inverter Timeout back from Giv. But all we can do is assume it wasn't actioned correctly.
It might well be that Giv needs to increase the Timeout duration on their REST API, it might be that their current threshold for what they consider a 'no response' from inverter is set too low, but that would be something to query with them.
