I am now on Octopus Go and as such have a scheduled overnight charge. The charge setting is to 100% as per this log (Charge instruction set for 00:34 - 05:28: 100% target at charge rate of 100%)
Last night it only charged to 95% and the charge rate for the last hour and a half went from 2911w to 1528w.
If it had kept charging at the higher rate my batteries would of attained 100% charge.
Why did the charge rate drop and not charge to 100%?

Shockwave That's pretty normal battery charging behaviour that is controlled by the BMS. As the charge nears 100%, the charge rate curve dips to prevent potentially dangerous overflow.

admin Thank you for the update, is there a way I can make it go to 100% or should I be asking Givenergy?

Shockwave It may be better to toggle on charge rate adjustment, so it uses a lower charge rate, which may actually help in this case. Worth a go anyway.

admin Charge rate was set to auto when I toggle it off it says charge rate 100%. How do I manually adjust the rate?

Shockwave Ah, never mind, didn't matter in your case as you need the full IOG window to fill up, which is why it was calculated as 100% charge rate.

Shockwave No, I was mainly referring to the overnightly slot, depending on your battery state, 5 hours may not be enough to quite reach 100% SOC.
