I have a 3 month subscription that needs to be renewed on Jan 1st. Will this happen automatically or do I need to enable something? I don't want a pause in my schedules if I can help it.

Just ran a few additional tests on our test environment (in between checking the turkey and whacking the roasties in the oven!), and all looking good.

Will keep our beady eye on this on New Year’s Day!

In the meantime, Merry Christmas everyone!

Subscription taken today without prompting or problems.

Same here - ticked over for another 3 months no issues

How do I cancel my subscription

Im0621 Go to the cancel link in your confirmation email, you should find it at the bottom.

I only kept my receipt, not my confirmation email. Can you resend my confirmation email

Im0621 We can cancel your sub for you so it won't get auto-renewed. What is your WattID please?

          It is expensive-share.

I have appreciated all you have done, but have not used your service as much as I thought I would. Wishing you the best in the future of wonder watt

          Thank You,
          Iain MacDonald

Im0621 Thanks Iain, that's now been cancelled for you and will not be auto-renewed in a few days.

I meant to cancel the subscription in order to change from 3 months to annual but forgot to do it and it's just renewed!
Obviously I will need to do this in April now, just wonder if you can cancel the auto renew for me, or is it best to wait until just before the auto renew in April?
Would I still get the existing member discount on an annual subscription by the way?

J1m Yeah, we can cancel the 3-month renewal for you now, and you will have 3 days grace period after next expiry in April, when you can get the £54 annual deal.

admin That's great thanks👍 Just need to remember it next time😄

Does your system not send a reminder before renewal is due? If not I think it should at least 7 days prior

Shockwave Currently it doesn't because it relies on auto-renew. With auto-renew cancelled, you will see that your subscription has expired when you log in and give you 3 days before schedules are paused.

admin I think that you have to by law
"You must notify your customers to explain that their contract will renew. Send the notification a reasonable amount of time before the renewal date. "

                    And this from .gov
"Terms that may be unfair include
Automatically renewing your customer’s contract or subscription without requiring you to take sufficient steps to inform them before doing so.
                    EXAMPE
This will be a rolling contract that will automatically renew unless you contact us 24 hours prior to renewal in order to cancel.

Shockwave This is outsourced and dealt with by Paddle - our third-party payment provider.

Actually, it looks like Paddle will send the billing reminder, depending on the location.

                      More details here: https://www.paddle.com/help/manage/your-customers/enhanced-billing-notifications-location-list

                      And specifically for the UK:

                      Regions in the United Kingdom

All regions within the UK require auto-renewal reminders for subscription periods of six months or longer.

*Please note that rules and regulations are constantly changing. We will be revising these notifications when needed, and will update this page accordingly.

So this means that users on the 3 month rolling plan have not received this, but users with an annual sub will, prior to their auto-renewal.

admin Thanks, we have all learned something
