Charge Discharge differing rates

Hi, new sign up here as still in debate whether i can warrant the time and money to set up HA, WW looks a great alternative

Im using a Growatt 6kw inverter with 2 growatt batteries totalling 13 kwh

The discharge rate i have when on 100% is 4kw however when they charge its only 2.6kw , i note in the advanced settings that its a single box for battery rate and one for inverter rate. How can i set this up so that WW knows i can charge at 2.6kw but discharge at 4kw - although im not sure i need to as i have everything set up as when on IOG slot, charge, when approaching 23:30, check charge level and discharge if above x, so probably wont impact anything.

khrisjun We currently assume charge/discharge max is the same. But makes sense to separate that out at some stage yeah.

admin can you please help me understand something? I've got a GivEnergy All in One which has an inverter which can charge and discharge at 6kw and a 3.6kw solis grid tied inverter

What do I put in the boxes? 6 in both or 6 in battery and 3.6 in inverter?

Yes, that would be handy. In winter I charge my AIO at a reduced rate for longer. On occasion I might want to dump to grid at max rate if there's an advantageous charging window coming up.

amackayj 6kW in both yeah, as it applies to the inverter WW is controlling, ie. your AIO.

But charging at reduced rate for longer is already doable via the 'Adjust charge rate'?

admin I hadn't realised that if I adjust my charge rate to, for example 3kW then when I export to grid it will discharge at my max 6kW.

KevinD Yep, if you leave your max in Advanced set to 6kW, you should be able to adjust charge rate in the charge schedule and still keep max discharge ability.
