I am using the IOG integration, The 'Home' dashboard shows today's and tomorrows solar forecast; would it be possible to display tonight's forecast charge? That figure must be in the system somewhere.
Thanks

John

At the moment 'm setting a 'floor' charge of 50% so I get at least that, but it would be nice to see what WW is planning to put in. I think 50% (of 16.4kWh) is soon going to be way too much on most days.

gwynnej3 I think I've mentioned this previously, but if your on IOG with fixed export, it makes no financial sense to undercharge your batteries. Just set them to always charge to 100%, then all solar not self consumed gets exported at 15p/kWh.

If you want to finesse things further for more profit, you can dump any excess left in your batteries at the end of the day, and/or set your batteries to not use solar.

I am testing dumping on a evening and waiting for the sun to recharge rather than paying 7p

This is more complicated for me as I have 12kw panels
        12kwh battery
But can only export 3.68kw into grid
So clipping is a big issue for me

MrMessy I'm on Feed In Tariff, so I get the same 77p/kWh generated whether I export anything or nothing. I'd still like to know what the system was proposing to charge in any case.

That's what I ended up doing on Agile. As long as the overnight charge rate is below the fixed price export rate, I might as well fully charge the battery overnight and export the solar.

          I think we've gone off-topic now...

The other thing I'm trying to understand is in today's portal (Home) it shows solar forecasts as 12 and 8.7 for today and tomorrow respectively.
If I download today's solar forecast csv from the Activity Log page, that has 11.4 and 9.1 kWh.

          Which figures are actually used?

I ask because I'm comparing forecast and actual numbers...

          Thanks again :-)

gwynnej3 The values get updated at 11AM and 11PM. Values used would be close to realtime whenever a decision is made related to solar yield (that you see in the activity log).
