Hi there,

I have been on IOG for a while now and its really optimized my bills so far. My current home setup (not using WW) is as follows;

GivEnergy AIO set to charge to 100% every night between 2:30 - 5:30am and then the house runs from the battery until it runs out ( I have no solar ), and repeat every day.

EV is plugged in most evenings and charges via Intelligent Octopus Go charging slots. Sometimes these are also issued later in the morning and afternoon and I would like to utilize WW to charge the battery during these times also.

Due to the wiring on installation of the AIO and Gateway it is impossible for the battery to discharge into my EV, so that is not a worry for me.

I'm looking for some guidance on how to configure WW to do what I am after really and kind of set it and forget it knowing that when the EV is charging on any slots outside the standard overnight cheap rates the battery will get a bump too.

Thanks in advance!
Ben

    Ok, I have it setup and working. I plugged the EV in this morning, got assigned some charging slots and WW picked these up and the AIO started charging, which is great.

    However, I noticed something. My wife unplugged the EV during this period therefore losing the charging slots but WW did not pick up on this and set the battery back to discharge so the battery was still charging to the set time of the charging slots. I believe that this would mean I would end up paying the higher rate?

    Is there a way for WW to reset the battery to discharge when it notices that the charging slots have changed?

    Thank you

      brobins Octopus assigns slots on a half hour basis. Once you get that slot assigned, WW will charge until the end of the half hour slot, so around the :00 or :30 min on the hour mark.

      Your initial IOG charge this morning was issued at 8:55-11:00 and presumably you unplugged after 10AM and before 10:30AM, as WW sent an end charge instruction around the 10:28 mark.
