I’m afraid that the Inverter is only charging the batteries at 1.4 kWh instead of 10. Solax support told me last week ( when I first tried WW) that the inverter had changed from 30 amps to 3. They reset it and it was fine until I reinstalled WW. I noticed this overnight and again today when I discharged and recharged the batteries to be sure. The WW settings look okay.

roadsport7 So for IOG you will not need to use a custom schedule set up. We automatically use IOG's default window. So you can toggle your 'Normal' schedule in the Schedules section to inactive or delete it.

As far as the IOG settings are concerned, we do have the 'Auto charge rate' adjustment, which when turned on will change the charge amps. You may just want to turn that toggle off.

One other thing, you can adjust your max charge amps that we use, we default to 30 amps. You can change this in the Advanced settings. I presume for your 10kW inverter it may be closer to 40 amps?

Hi,

Tried all of the above but no success.

I tried an experiment and I changed the amps from 30 to 15.
Not surprisingly, the forced charge halved to .72 KWH. I then looked at the Solax numbers through Solax Cloud and the charge number had dropped to 1.5 amps (10% of the WW number as seen before). I then raised the amps to 32 and the inverter went to 3.2.

I then changed the Solax inverter setting (via Solax cloud) back to 30 and set WW to 30.

12:05hrs The battery charged at over 7kwh for a few minutes but, just now, the forced charge has stopped (c15 mins into a 45 minute session).

12:14 hrs. I have restarted the forced charge and noticed the Solax cloud amps have dropped again from 30 to 3, and the battery is charging at 1.44 kwh.

roadsport7 Right, thanks for reporting back, think we spotted the issue here too. 3-phase Solax inverters use an additional 10x multiplier compared to 1-phase equivalents, causing this problem.

Fix on the way now.

roadsport7 Let us know when you've been able to retest this, as per above, fix now been rolled out to cater for additional multiplier for amps on 3-phase Solax.

I'm afraid it did not work. The charge reverted to 3 amps overnight, I reset to 30 amps today, and set a 30 minute charge a few minutes ago. The inverter has changed back to 3 amps.

roadsport7 Ah, you're testing with the Quick menu option, which requires a front-end update.

The IOG schedules should work for you now though.

We'll get a fix out for the front-end.

Update: Should be working now as per v0.5.1096.

Hi. Octopus have just sent a schedule and the car is charging. I’m afraid that the batteries are discharging rather than charging.

Quite right. Not sure how that happened.
Anyway, it didn’t work and …THEN IT DID.
I have tried it twice but the second time it took 10 minutes for the battery charge setting to kick in.

BTW Octopus sent a message saying that they could not control the charger just before the system worked. I presume that this is expected.
