Update on the issue: everything was working fine for Growatt inverter and battery - with battery top-up/ charge overnight. The SHINE app setting was just for overnight battery first - on IOG with EV and outgoing Octopus tariff.
Then suddenly, for the last week, battery stopped charging overnight, after I disabled battery first overnight due to the recent weather.
Now - the setting on SHINE app don't seem to work.
This is how I ended up finding WW due to massive amounts of Googling.
In the day, the battery will charge well without any issues.
Battery discharges without any issues.
WW admin has traced calls to the inverter via WW and there don't seem to be any error messages.
The dongle is wifi.
We have switched inverter on and off.
Have logged out of SHINE - logged back in.
logged out of growatt web account.
removed schedules on WW.
in case there are any conflicts.
Running out of ideas and trying to contact Growatt.
Appreciate any thoughts and ideas on diagnostic gaps left.
I wonder if it's the wifi dongle, and perhaps change to a hardwire dongle (have got good access to this.
