On a few occasions a schedule has failed to execute due to communication failure. The log shows as below. Error setting charge schedule: There was no response from comms. Please try again This can be quite expensive if it is a missed export or charge for the next day. Would it be possible to setup a configurable text service to notify users if this happens. As I don't sit there watching the log all the time and if I knew this had happened then I could jump in and correct it. I suspect others would find this useful also.

Surely there is some middleware available to easily implement this and with unlimited texts on any mobile plan these days it would be a low cost addition that could be used for all sorts of urgent alerts to users.

Not sure if free SMS texts exist on their own. They might be "free" if you are paying for some other service that includes them. There is a Whatsapp API which might be usable to send a message to a phone number.

Well I do have and use Whatsapp on my phone and PC so that would work for me

So last night I had another communication error which was very expensive. A charge from 4% to 100%

I really would like a text / WhatsApp messaging service on failed communication commands so that I could jump in and salvage the situation, rather than finding out next day when it's too late.

Wow that's fantastic. I have it set up and ready.

That feature will enable users to know quickly when things have seriously gone wrong and they will be able to manually jump in and save the day. The system just gets better and better.
