Hi all, I’ve been using Wonder Watt for a couple of months now and it has been great. All my schedules or immediate charge/discharge actions working perfectly. This week I had a second AIO installed. It was rather painful getting it all up and running (welcome to GivEnergy), but now appears to all be working fine. Of course, that all required the system to be recommissioned etc. Wonder Watt is still able to connect fine, and show all the info, but any instruction from Wonder Watt no longer seems to do anything at all. Instructions in the GivEnergy app directly work fine. I’ve tried revoking the API key, and adding a new one, but it made no difference. Any suggestions on what to try? Can Wonder Watt support have a look for me to see if you can see what’s going on? WattID is extraneous-buyer Thanks! ETA - I should say, the WW activity log shows the instructions fine. It’s just not doing anything at the GivEnergy end…

@"Hufggfg"#p8584 Can you go to Settings and click Connect followed by Save and make sure that the Gateway serial number shows up there? That's likely the issue. Instructions need to be sent to the Gateway, so reconnect and Save should populate GW serial and use that.

However, I now seem to have another problem: I have the auto charge rate set on. I can see in the activity log that it says eg “charge rate of 32%”. However, it always seems to charge at 100%. Is it possible to have a look and see if you have any idea what’s going wrong? Or do I need to speak to GivEnergy? Thank you!

While I have you, a question and a feature request (that are very related) Question: When setting a schedule, there’s a toggle for discharge rate, with options of “discharge rate at 100%” or “use current discharge rate”… what does this do? What is the “current” discharge rate? Is there somewhere I can read up on the different controls? Feature: it would be great to be able to set a percentage discharge rate for each schedule slot. I use the slots to discharge my battery at the end of the day. I’d love to be able to tune this to do it at a slightly slower rate as it’ll preserve battery life, rather than having to do it at full power. Thanks again!

WW really needs to record Charge and Discharge rates for both the Battery and Inverter to be most useful, because changing the Rates in the advanced section messes up WW automatic adjusted time calculations. The 100% option in a schedule (OFF) for Charge / Discharge is exactly that 100% of whatever you system can achieve. Setting the option to On reads the rates you have set in the Advanced section of settings. That is how I understand it. Exactly totally agree I had been giving this some thought also and was thinking of suggesting a drop down list in the scheduler with varying percentages rates (like the Quick charge / Discharge on the home page) that you could apply to each individual schedule or to be able to enter a percentage, but that I guess would require more code and error checking to implement and you have to think about all the 1000's of already saved users schedules you can't mess with those.

Yeah, totally doable, as long as you are aware that if you then put the kettle, airfryer and microwave on, you may well be pulling from the grid. 😃

Welcome to the Dual AIO club, Its a lonely world you have just entered from a GE support point of view anyway. Just make sure that you use the full 4% to 100% range of your new dual system at least once a week, and all will be fine. Biggest problem with dual AIO's is SOC between them. Use them or you will suffer, I made that mistake I won't bore you with details. If not already updated by your installer you need Firmware V13 for the Gateway (top tip switch on the bypass before updating the Gateway or your house power will go off on reboot, then revert after the update has completed) and also DO618/AO618 or later firmware installed on both AIO's. Once V13 is installed on the Gateway, get Support to set a hard Gateway limit of 80amps (the max the Gateway supports) Only GE support can do this. Once you have V13 Gateway firmware and the AIO 618 firmware installed you are all set for maximum performance These latest Gateway and AIO firmware pair work together and attempt to throttle the charge if you accidently overload it, and the firmware also has the very latest SOC tracking software for dual AIO's . Have fun. Now that I have my AIO's working correctly (SOC wise) and with the relentless hard work of the guys at WW supporting this configuration. Dual AIO's with WW is a killer setup, capable of moving a staggering amount of kWh in my case with ease. I hope it works for your needs also. Otherwise you will suffer big time with SOC issues between AIO's you need to be on V13 Gateway Firmware at

Yes, that is a very good idea, we could name them "All Ahead Full", " Afterburner", "Full Beans", "Slow and Easy" 😂

Imagining is one of my problems, I can imagine a lot and often 🤔. I understand that nothing will be easy with all the juggling of the different tariffs, inverters, and user needs that must go on a daily basis behind the scenes. However, introducing new innovative features within standard scheduling, will also attract more users to your system, after all IOG and Agile tariffs might not be around for ever, better to have lots of strings, and all that. Keep up the excellent work.

Well Yes and No. To be honest I had never seen that option in the Portal, so that was down to me sorry. However, now I can see all the commands being sent, I have been better able to understand things. As I had the filter on I could only see the Discharge Power Commands that were been sent but not on every schedule. This coupled with the fact I was receiving failed schedules and was executing Quick Discharge Schedules was compounding the problem. The system needs to send the Correct power command at start and end of each schedule irrespective of Rate Setting in the schedule / Advanced settings. I have not tested a Quick Charge or all combinations of Adjusted, Non Adjusted, Inverter Rates ON / OFF etc.

Also the question of what happens if GE fix the Dual AIO Virtual Battery situation. That is why the EV charger doesn't work correctly because there is no support with a virtual battery for the Battery Power Command, that all the other inverters understand , and why I am writing this post and you are attempting to fix?

Charge Schedules are Fine see below, I don't understand the "Battery Charge Power" Read (Not Me), and we continue to Reset the "Battery Charge Power" value "which is not relevant to Dual AIO's and isn't getting set by WW in this instance anyway.

Last night once again I had a (Standard Schedule) parsing error from the GE API, when WW attempted to execute it ( @admin is currently addressing this GE shortcoming). Therefore, (last night's) scenario, at Duplada HQ, was slightly different, unlike my (Alert 5) situation of the previous evening, (WW Home page Open and Ready to Rock). We had retired early for the evening (Hobbit Syndrome), I know its early right?, but I have to be up bright and early, to report back here (very sad). I know, its no excuse that it took a lengthy 66 seconds, from receiving the WW WhatsApp message, to executing a manual 30 minute discharge response. You have to understand that there were mitigating circumstances (NDA Doesn't Permit me....). Now I accept that a 66 second response time is a somewhat tardy effort, and I can assure you all, that I am committed to maintaining times, close to, if not exceeding, my world class 34 seconds of the previous evening. However,.........

Then, because the house Batteries were low, Operator Duplada (ME) had to watch, and manually stop, said manual discharge early on reaching 8% SOC (what a pain 😣 ). A premature 🔚 to the Quick Discharge, and also the Night's other Proceedings 😢

I know what its like supporting and developing simultaneously, one second in your head you have a brilliant idea, a solution to something, a killer line of code or a new workaround, then boom, you get distracted and its gone. 😥

OK, I just assumed, that since when a charge schedule is executed, the power values are being reset, along with all the other portal "previous" data values, that for consistency you would also reset the discharge values too. Very much looking forward to "in Schedule Rate Profiles" along with all the other improvements to scheduling. (I won't list them again here) 😃

That would be fantastic. The Quick Scheduler is very very useful. I actually wish there was a 5 minute 10 minute option on discharge ⁉️ also. it's useful when you are testing a new @MrMessy cheat sheet type scenario, and it's not quite working out, and you need "a boost" to accelerate proceedings. I can foresee (my problem again) a number of quick tools on that home page in the future. Though, we better let you progress the agreed development road map first, before adding any more load, right?
