I for one wouldn't hand over the control of my system to any third party, you can read quite a few horror stories over on the Givenergy Forum from people who have done just that.
I like you wanted a system that you can setup once and then it just works, but also one that can be modified in the future if things change. I am retired and I don't want the hassle of Home Assistant and the like, I have got better things to do with my time. I just wanted a system that is simple to setup, had good features, reliable, with good technical support.
I looked around at numerous systems and WW stood out not only for its innovative features, but if you read the threads on here, the developers are engaging with their users, asking for advice how they would like features to operate and taking on-board advice from the users of why and how they operate the system. That is how I used to to run my businesses, Tell the truth, don't say you can do a job wen you can't or have no experience with something, listen to your customers and most important of all give timely customer support (their problem is your problem), make your customer feel valued. We never knowingly lost a customer in over 30 years. Finding companies that operate with those old School values these days is very difficult indeed.
I recently had an issue with my schedules which stopped executing intermittently. The support I received was second to none I was getting replies and help outside normal of office hours and on weekends. I was impressed with the whole experience and very grateful.
Its a bit like being with the AA or other breakdown service how glad are you when you get transported all the way to your door after a motorway breakdown, You look at the annual bill and think can I do without it, finally you give in and pay it, but boy how glad are you now that you didn't cancel it.
So in summary its difficult to say how much saving £54 per annum means to you. To me its exceptional value , you would be subscribing to an innovative service which, listens to its users and provides timely second to none support, that I know you will be hard pressed to find anywhere else.
