I have a Dual AIO system with Gateway which doesn't have a Local GE App mode, as it is the Gateway that does all the communications rather than the AIO's like when only a single AIO is installed. You are permanently in Away mode with 5 minute updates. Therefore when GES (GE Software) expressed their intentions of a "Free" Local App mode, I asked them in April how this would work for Dual AIO customers. They replied as follows.
"Regarding your system not supporting local access - we're working on resolving that. In the meantime, any hardware that does not support local access will be provided with free cloud access so that you can continue to use your system."
So yesterday I decided to see what I could achieve in the GE Portal and the answer is not a lot. I can see the Dashboard overview but all cards are locked. I cannot see any of my historic data, I can however, select the remote control section and view command execution history.
If in the remote control section of the portal where you set you charge and discharge schedules I can alter settings but the minute I click the Apply Icon up pops the this is locked please Pay banner.
So for Dual AIO customers GES has not done what they said above. I do not trust these people. I am not prepared to be railroaded into subscribing by a group of 3 highway bandits.
They will not be in a job for very long if they don't come good on their promises. Very Amateur and unprofessional start to proceedings 😣
I can control my system with the Invertor Android App, or the BBC App, and WW for the next five days. So I will leave it at that for now.
