Good job I just checked my slots again. All had been de selected. I have selected them again now but hope it does not happen again as battery need topping up

OK here is what happens. It auto selects a connected 8 slots. I did not need that many so I un selected the first one. When I refresh the page the whole selected string has disappeared. So it deselecting the whole string because i deleted one.

23:00 tonight through 13:30 tomorrow. I also deselected one in the middle, saved and refreshed and only one for 22:30 tomorrow stayed on Just done it again a 3 random ones stayed on. Also noticed that, even though my window is set for 00:00 - 23:30, it is setting the late ones for tonight instead of tomorrow.

I deselected an "auto below a certain price" slot and it deselected the next days slots. I lowered the auto price below the one i deselected and this solved this issue. A bit annoying though.

WW had selected about ten slots for me from midnight onwards , I forget how many . I deselected the ones at 0400 and 0430 , figured I wouldn’t need them but should have just left eveything instead of tinkering …. I noticed that there were still a couple of slots that WW had selected for 2200 and 2230 tonight , I tinkered further and deselected them . I visited other webpages and returned to check my Agile selections …. lo and behold , all of the slots which had been selected for midnight to 0400 had been deselected ! So it was back to selecting them again from scratch . It seems to me that every time I tinker with the automatic selection , something gets thrown out .

I have gone back to inverter settings for tonight as battery too low by morning if WW not work

admin Thanks. But when selecting tomorrows slots it should not pick ones from late today, we would of selected them as extras if we wanted them. Tomorrow's slots should be tomorrow's, not some of today's as well

Shockwave That's correct. This was basically down to the way we condense smaller slots into one big slot if 30 min charge slots are adjacent. We now split this at the midnight point.

Saving of individual selections and de-selections should now have the desired effect.

This is the designed behaviour, because that window for tomorrow does not have all tariffs available, it only runs through to 23:00 inclusive. So a charge window of 00:00-23:00 would give you the behaviour you want.

We simply cannot select the best/cheapest tariffs for windows for which all tariffs aren't available.

That’s initially how we implemented it, but it’s not what users expect or want. Think windows of 19:30-07:00 etc.

Shockwave What did you set your Agile import threshold to? Any slots (even outside charge windows) that match the threshold criteria are selected.

As you have set yours to 4p, this is the expected result.

Confused …. if WW has initially automatically selected a slot because it is below my threshold …. but I later deselect that slot for whatever reason …. then that slot should remain deselected ?…. it should not keep popping up again as selected ?

kayjay55 Correct, that is currently the behaviour. It was designed with the threshold set to 0 - "who wouldn't want to be paid for getting free leccy?"

The workaround for now would be to lower your threshold, so they're not auto-selected and you can select/deselect other cheap slots that are above the threshold. All of which will persist and not be overwritten.

I am sure that I often get WW-selected-slots reappearing after I had deselected them , especially those in the 2200 to midnight window . I could be wrong , maybe in senior moments I had not actually saved my deselections . I will pay more attention to this and report .

kerregan Editing/saving a charge window definitely does that. Also, toggling a charge window to active.

Basically, modify individual slot selections after you have saved and configured your Agile charge windows, which makes sense.

Someone could have extended their charge window and added a greater number of cheap slots, so it's simpler to recalc for all active charge windows at that stage.

However, selecting or deselecting individual slots and saving after 16:35 will not make them pop back up.

Many thanks Kerregan , but would you mind advising a bit more please ? Are you saying that if I deselected a slot … saved that ….. went back later and fiddled with other completely different slots , then the aforementioned deselected slot would revert back to being selected because that was the original WW action ?

kayjay55 Slots under the threshold will get re-selected by the populate schedules function. This runs a few times, after 16:00 - and again at 22:40 and 23:40.

OK - think we got a fix for this.

Only the initial pre-population of schedules that runs after the rates have been published, will populate the below-threshold slots.

This basically means any changes you make to your schedule after around 16:35 (second run after rate publish, in case of rates being delayed), should remain as is.

The population that runs at 22:40 and 23:40 will only populate Active charge windows for which no slots have been selected (yet), and will not auto-populate slots below your specified threshold.

Deployed in fix 549.

Just a thought... all - feel free to discuss/dismiss
Is it worth moving the Agile Octopus Price Below X pence field to above the Agile Octopus Slots selection panes for the two days?
That way, You could review the slots selected automatically after 16:35 in conjunction with this price aspect, then change the 'price below' you are willing to pay which would update the selections window accordingly. I find myself constantly switching back and forth which is inevitable with Agile pricing changes according to how much renewables are going to be predicted to impact. With so many offshore wind turbines planned over the next 5-6 years, I think this is going to cause even more fluctuations in the pricing than we see today tbh

Personally, moving the DNO selection - which only gets changed next to never to the 'Advanced' menu makes sense to me. If it is not 'set' correctly, potentially the 'Agile Octopus' features could be 'greyed' until that is set. Just trying to keep the Agile features that do change - daily - on the same page and move others that do not elsewhere - just my twopenneth
