@"Gazzagreen"#p3146 I'm in the beta if you can you have the tariff I believe it will work as its pulling from the Octopus API and controlling your inverter so has nothing to do with the car or charger. It's found my slots first time so really impressive.

I see. I'm happy on flux atm, but if I was to try this later, what I'm trying to ask is I am able to get the intelligent Go tariff from Octopus? I ask because as far as I understand it, they require a car or a charger they can control or you can't get the tariff. e.g a tesla as they can control the charging on the car, or compatible charger. Is this agreed with octopus to be able to use the WW-tariff with a non-compliant car or charger?

@"Gazzagreen"#p3151 Without a compatible EV - for which they will perform a test charge, I don't think you can get OIG. We simply check the dynamic charge slots that Octopus has assigned to your Octopus account. If you haven't got Octopus Intelligent Go, we won't retrieve any smart charge slots from Octopus when we query your account.

Hi there, impassioned-spirit First usage of IOG last night by plugging my car in and I don't think it quite went to plan! :) [URL=https://i.imgur.com/5qtopBZ.png][IMG]https://i.imgur.com/5qtopBZh.png[/IMG][/URL] So at first it picked up my smart charge of 23:30 - 06:30 and had a target of 86% at a rate of 33%, which is fine. It then, from somewhere, picked three more half hour blocks and mapped those. The problem is that in between those half hour blocks, the battery was discharged to power the house. This is not only in contradiction to the proper mapped charge but was unnecessary anyway as IOG always has off-peak rates between 23:30 and 05:30 - in fact of course the battery should still have been charging from the grid due to the dismal forecast. I don't know what happened with those additional blocks but if I check my Octopus app, those blocks are shown there right now too, so WW hasn't pulled them out of nowhere. I do know that in reality Octopus was charging my car as per the original mapped charge of 11:30 - 06:30 and this didn't get interrupted. One thing I recall, yesterday when I plugged my car in, the charge target was just 10% additional, and I _think_ it's possible that the original smart charge schedule was these three blocks. I subsequently changed the charge target to be 60% additional, and it mapped the new proper schedule. I wonder if both sets of instructions were still in the API? Is there something you need to be checking to know whether you have the latest schedule? In any case would it be possible to configure WW so that it always "knows" about the basic 23:30 - 05:30 off peak, and only does something with smart charges in addition to that? Love that you're doing this by the way, please don't take any of this as a moan!

Hi there,

Would it be possible to be added to this please? I've just discovered Wonderwatt after my battery has been flattened several times by the dynamic schedule. I have an Ohme car charger, and it used to be that you could restrict charging hours even while on Intelligent Octopus Go, but they've removed this in an app update and now we're unable to stop the car charging outside the fixed "Growatt friendly" nightly cheap periods. If we can stop the battery discharging during these times that would be ace, and easily worth the upcoming subscription fee!

I think others had issues with using Ohme chargers with Octopus, because Ohme seems to control the charging, rather than Octopus?

JayC - isn't your battery charging during that period, so everything should pull from the grid by default? I only use the pause functionality as @MrMessy has suggested (I didn't use it at all before then)

danvoner In theory yes. In practice I find that without having that pause discharge in there my battery is not at 100% at 05:30. With the pause it is. 🤷🏻‍♂️ (hence it being desirable to have the option of Pause Discharge added to the WW schedule dropdown)

JayC - that's very strange, nothing should interrupt or stop your battery charging like that. Can you share a screenshot of your Intelligent Octopus Go settings page in WonderWatt.

I have an ASHP running overnight, so if anything was going to stop a battery charging it would be that ... and it has never had any impact on my SOC by the morning.

JayC What percentage would your battery be at by 5:30 without Pause? And is that using our IOG Hold functionality or Charge target set to 100%?

If Hold is set, it may simply be that you're experiencing the trickle discharge which happens for some Giv inverter/fw combos when setting discharge to 0, and we may need to introduce an option for IOG too like we have for Agile, to allow users to toggle Eco off during Hold, so there's no demand being drawn from battery at all.

I've got this in WW and always have 100% at the 05:30 (or whenever smart charging finishes if later)...

@admin @MrMessy I am not using WW IOG. I can’t because WW IOG inhibits my half-night sell off/buy-sell-buy. (We have gone well of the thread title I appreciate but the content on end of the day excess sell of has been worth the deviation).
On the how much without: its been a while but my recollection is ₈₈%
I am using WW as screen shot plus the Pause in Giv ‘remote’ portal for the Pause discharge.

JayC I see what you're doing now, with the discharge/charge/discharge/charge. Didn't appreciate you had the AIO.
That being the case though, why do you need more than one "pause charge"? Are you planning on going back to smart charging?
Not saying it wouldn't be useful, although I can't think of one atm, but I'm sure I will.

2nd and 3rd Pause Charge would be used in a similar way to your use: send the PV generated electricity straight to the grid. I’d like to sell the morning sun, grab an hour of high power sun for the battery in the middle of the day, send the afternoon sun to the grid.

PeteC Thanks - odd. We can see that your end schedule isn't being actioned. Looks like the IOG schedule starts but then ends up disappearing, hence it doesn't process the end instruction.

Works fine for a lot of other IOG users.

We'll do some more digging and logging for your account, so we can trace the root cause.

With the dropping of the sun I have returned to WW Intelligent (IOG) and reduced the EV charging amperage to the lowest option. By doing the latter I am served longer and or more Intelligent slots. This is particularly effective when I am able to execute in the morning. For example I've worked away on Tuesday, plug in Wednesday AM whilst working from home, or Saturday out all morning, home for lunch, plug in.
To ensure I am able to dump the newly discovered abundance of additional Giv charging I have implemented the AIO version of ' @MrMessy Dump XS slots' as shown (decreasing increments of 11%s from an SOC of 66). Tuning will be needed as we learn more: the aim being to ensure benefit even with the occasional evening IOG 30 minute charge.

JayC I think you may need to leave a bit more time between each schedule.
Bear in mind the instructions can be sent up to 5 mins before the start, I wonder if potentially overlapping instructions may mess things up.

PS very naughty dropping the EV charge current.

MrMessy It seems they were actioned but then nullified as I'd left on the Eco switch in Advanced. Therefore the results are not clear. I will run again this week without Eco On.
