Shockwave Hmmmm Looking at your prices, granted 12 monthly discounted at the moment, basic 12 month is £71.96
Amazing that when I asked you about future pricing back in January you said "If we ever do, it will be less than 'my energy optimiser' charges. They charge £5 a month. "

Yeah, and we'll keep the annual sub discounted. Which does work out at £4.50 a month.

Reality is, we're not making much on this as it is, and we don't need to. If we relied on this to live off, we'd have pulled the plug a while ago. We'd be happy to nudge over break-even.

You don't need to believe that, but if you realise what goes into the cloud infrastructure, weather API calls, storage costs, server and DB hosting and logging ingestion and storage (allowing us to troubleshoot things accurately and efficiently), you should understand.

By all means, use the Giv portal to achieve the same, it's totally your choice. For some people the time saving alone is worth it to use our service.

Shockwave £3 for your service is probably the right price

After VAT and costs mentioned above, we probably have less than a quid left from that. Completely unsustainable. And we've not even accounted for time spent on development or answering and troubleshooting support queries.

Continuing the way we are, we want to build features for users that appreciate the service and see its value.

Hope that makes sense. Thank you.

I have been missing it!
I don't see the link on my phone (it's off the bottom of the screen) and hadn't noticed it on my desktop PC.
I was looking for a Sub link on the menu or an announcement message saying "Subscribe here".

johalareewi likewise, I only found it today by chance as I don't usually scroll the home screen down

Mat We have now surfaced this in the menu as well. Quick update shortly which highlights that this is a newly introduced item.

Is there an opportunity to do a broadcast email to your enabled user base - via their google email addresses - just to let them know?

KristianS Possibly, though we're quite conscious of not unnecessarily sending (potentially) unsolicited e-mails.

Can i ask why is subscription page in $ instead of £

binding51 It's determined based on your browser language settings, it may be that you have it set to en-US, rather than en-GB.

If you change the language locale for your browser to British-English, you should see GBP.

Agreed, but as I am seeing lots of feedback that people are not seeing it at all, maybe a single email to inform would be a compromise

Ban The Spam. It will become self evident to the visually challenged in a week!

Pourl Yeah, tricky balance. Half the users will be annoyed by mass e-mail, the other half will complain on day 11 asking why their Schedules are paused and why they were not told, despite the notification on Home screen and the new Subscription menu item.

And if we send the e-mail, some will miss that anyway!

                Welcome to the capitalist/commercial world.🤣

Annual subscription paid.At less than 15p per day, that's got to be worth it! Thanks and keep up the great work!

Huey Thanks very much, and keep the suggestions for improvements coming!

Subbed for a year. I notice the sub will auto renew to my CC. Is there an option to turn this off somewhere?

                    johalareewi Thank you.

We need to look into this with our Payment provider and if feasible, will provide an option on the Subscription page to toggle this on or off.

johalareewi At the bottom of your email "Your subscription to Wonder Watt", there is a Cancel subscription link.

This will cancel the auto-renewal, whilst keeping it active until the sub end date.

admin I will more than likely use the paid service but probably not if we cannot stop auto renew. Auto renew should be an option only

Shockwave Yep, see the info above. You can cancel the subscription straight afterwards via the confirmation e-mail using the "Cancel subscription" link, which will result in no auto-renewal.

Once you've done that, you will receive an e-mail like this:
