Have just seen this on the Zappi/IOG FB group... > I had it confirmed today that the underlying processes governing charge planning have been changed. What that means is throughout the night a number of metrics are monitored and charge plans may be updated multiple times during the night. As such anyone tracking the charge plan shown vs what executed will likely start to see deviations. You may also see unexpected stops in the middle of a charge plan. I would presume this also affects other IOG integrations as well. However, as you're using WW, you should be covered, so this is just for info if you're getting some weird/changing charge schedules. @"admin"#1 may be worth reminding various groups of the benefits of WW.😉

@"MrMessy"#p5513 Thanks for the heads-up - useful information. Really means for IOG users that want their inverter to match dynamic and ad-hoc charge slots, you can't do without automation. We will always provide the default, full IOG slot for you though, regardless of Octo saying you have 23:30-02:00 and 03:00-04:00 for instance.

Anyone else having a problem with their battery settings not reverting back following WW instruction to hold the battery set during an IOG charge session? I have a GivEnergy battery and inverter. Following an overnight scheduled IOG, the battery discharge setting is set to 0W discharge and the reserve changed to 4% from 10%. This is the second morning in a row that I have found the battery settings as this with the last setting change having always been sent from WW. Any help @"admin"#1?

Hi @"admin"#1 WattID is shocking-principle Yes, I would expect the battery discharge power to be set back to full at the end of the regular IOG or at any point after the battery set was held during an IOG charging slot. WW seems to be changing the battery settings to 0W discharge and reserve value to 4% and then leaving it there. The reserve at 4% isn't too much bother although I have had the battery drop below this recently but the discharge value at 0W just means the battery doesn't get used. WW appears to write them at the start of the IOG schedule but then not set them back at the end of the schedule. Will investigate, and aim to fix this weekend, thank you. **Update**: we've identified an issue with some of the default slot IOG ends, and a fix to the server side schedulers has now been deployed, which should address this. Could you validate this tonight/tomorrow please and let us know?

@"admin"#p5532 I'm having the same problems using the Agile tariff. Discharge setting left on zero after charging so I'm ending up using the grid rather than my full battery. Also inverter charge setting remains active on the last setting that WW has used for charging. WW id Handmade-key

@"Ijhhh"#p5538 You have hold charge set for your Agile charge window though, for the full duration of your Agile charge window 00:00-23:00, so if you want to use the battery in between charge slots to serve house-load, you will need to turn hold-mode off.

I will see if it puts the discharge value back up to 2600W after the charge window finishes. admin Thank you, I have raised with Octopus and they have recommended a total restart of the system which I have done and no change, I have removed the EV smart charging by octopus by disconnecting the device and set up a manual schedule to charge, will see what happens tonight. still awaiting a reply from GE.

Hi, to report back over the last month. I'm still getting the same issue. I don't see the battery reserve % limit being set at 8% by WW. Can you please check and confirm this is being done?
The battery has still been dropping to 4% and then if there is a small spike or draw on the system it drops below the 4% and subsequently doesn't charge overnight.
If you can confirm settings are being set by WW correctly, I will monitor again over the next week and if still getting issues I will speak with Giv.

I'm currently having an issue-plugged my car in this morning and got instant IOG slots, car started charging okay. I checked later (around 14:30) and saw on the GivEnergy app that the car was charging from grid AND battery (earlier the car and battery were charging as expected). I've tried unplugging the car and retrying after 15 mins but the car is again charging from both grid and battery and there is no updated info on the activity log. I've paused the battery now to stop it discharging. It's strange also that the activity log shows several scheduled charges whereas the IOG slots was just one up to 16:00.....neat-permission

Despite us sending the instruction for your battery to charge? You can clearly see that your battery percentage (SOC) gone up between each activity log entry.

How are you drawing the conclusion your solar battery is being drained by the car?

It's not that strange really, as Octopus will keep sending updates through. Which we simply act upon. Doesn't make any difference really, as we effectively overwrite the earlier charge instruction with a newer one.

admin because when I checked after 2:30ish the battery was no longer charging and instead was delivering charge to the EV along with the grid. As already mentioned I then disconnected my EV, left for 15 - 20 mins and then connected it up again. IOG set up charging slots again and the EV started charging - again from the grid AND battery! The activity log still shows the last update at 13:58, nothing since! I've had to again pause the battery to stop it. The only reason I queried the amount of activity log entries was that I've not seen that on previous charges, they normally match the IOG slots - but I only pointed this out because if the problem I have!

@admin - I am not sure if this is the same issue (so do tell me to create one if needed) but I have noticed on multiple occasions when I have been lucky enough to get a random extended slot e.g. 23:30 - 10:30 or 18:00 - 05:30 (rather than the usual 23:30 - 05:30) and I have to take my car out for a drive during this extra slot e.g. 09:30 or 20:00 then WonderWatt doesn't seem to send an update to my GivEnergy inverter to revert back to the standard hours e.g. 23:30 - 05:30.
This means that my battery might continue to charge during these extra hours ... but at peak rate.
I can see in the Intelligent page that it has picked up the updated hours but it doesn't seem to send the instructions.
Any thoughts?

danvoner What is your WattID pls? Your schedule should be interrupted by WW, when you unplug and have a current IOG charging session.

J1m Hmm, weird, because the last instruction we sent was at around 14:00, and the detailed logs show a successful charge instruction being sent and received by Giv from 13:56 - 16:00.

admin the last instruction it received from you was 15:28 and I believe i stopped my charging about 16:25 which triggered Octopus to update its times back to 23:30-05:30 (which i saw reflected on your Intelligent page). I then manually updated the start time to 23:30. I don't see any instructions after 15:28 from you.
