well we had 8 successful overnight charges but tonight failed again for some reason.

      Yes it's getting annoying, is there a firmware or software update maybe that needs installing?
      It's been fine for months and months and now it's decided to play up.
      I'm only up cos I've had bowel surgery and still having frequent visits to the toilet so off work at the moment but hope to go back in new year, then I will need my beauty sleep! Lol

        elliptical-visit Would be worth to see if Growatt knows what this error message means that comes back from their web API.

        Hi, just to keep you in the loop, Growatt think same as you that it's an Internet disconnection issue and for me to unplug and replug the WiFi dongle which I did yesterday so we will see if that has helped in due course.
        I'm not convinced but time will tell.

        Happy New Year to you all, I've been making changes to my Internet as there seemed to be some possible confliction with some old tech and new supplier. All seems good now however on 2025-01-03 00:29:02 you state failed to set inverter charger....... but it did charge!
        There is nothing set on shinephone app but just thought I'd let you know.

        Well I thought it was soughted but ive had another 3 charge failures this week. 13th, 17th and 19th.
        I have emailed growatt again but I can't see why this is happening?

          Hi, here we go again!
          After 6 successful overnight charges its failed again on the 7th.
          I have had some communication with Growatt and they say I need to contact my energy provider ( Octopus) as they control the inverter through an API platform and need to get the URL and code too see if it's a Growatt server issue.
          I told Growatt it has nothing to do with Octopus as its WW that contoll my inverter. I am only on GO as Intelligent GO didn't seem to work on my system if you remember.
          I have not heard back from Growatt for nearly a week now.
          The only thing I have changed is my broadband provider and since then I've had these intermittent charge failures so I need to find some way of monitoring my broadband and see if it drops out particularly overnight. I will try and get them to look into this and see if they are open and honest and tell me there is a problem!
          At my end I am going to just use Shinephone to control inverter for a while and see if the failures still continue.
          Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as this is getting so frustrating.

            elliptical-visit Can confirm we had the same message for you as before, datalog_time_out. I'd imagine when using the ShinePhone app or Growatt dashboard you might also get some weird error message now and again, as we are effectively mimicking the same web API calls.

            The datalog_time_out in all likelyhood refers to a timeout issue with the Wifi datalogger.

            Let us know how you get on and what Growatt come back with.

            Good morning, not heard anything back from Growatt
            I've been using shinephone only since 26th Jan and had no issues at all so decided to go back to WW on the 17th Feb and last night , the 3rd night, it failed to set inverter again!
            I will contact Growatt again and maybe they might come back to me.
