I have never Discharged my battery into the grid and wondered how everyone does this?

I have never worked out how to calculate it.
so if i was thinking to discharge just before my cheap rate starts 23:30
how would i work out the time to start the operation? surely it depends on how much charge i have left?

or can this be automated?

            It's a 7kW Vaillant, installed by WDS Green Energy (Cardiff).
            We already had UFH downstairs, so with a few rad changes upstairs we can run the whole system at the same temp. Was designed for 35deg at -3.

            Combined SCoP for heating and DHW since installation Apr'24 is 4.7, so can't complain.
