Today in particular has reminded me of what would be a helpful improvement to the Agile page. I'm sure I've seen this mentioned before but in a quick scan of previous posts I can't find it. Would it be possible to toggle Agile slots from charge, hold, discharge or just normal operation? Today I have had to create numerous discharge schedules in between charging slots to get as much cheap energy throughout the day before dumping it back in the grid. I've had 12 charge slots and 12 discharge slots. I would have liked to also have just held a couple of slots but really couldn't be bothered with resetting the Agile window just for that hour of hold.

Did this get looked at at all? Is this on the list of potential updates?

I was about to make a similar request. When there is a long period of pricing that's well under the fixed 15p export rate, I would love to be able to select (or even better have WW propose) a "harvesting" mode that alternates between import and export for optimum lengths until there's only enough time left to charge back to the target SOC.

I am doing this manually by pre-selecting all slots below 13p then deselecting the most expensive ones (even though below 13p) adding them as exports in the schedule. It takes me about 10 minutes to go through them then verify them (the red arrows showing the exports are really helpful). Starting with no charge (0) I count the slots to add up to 6 by the end (charge = +1, export = -1) and never more than 6 in the middle (7 is a full charge for my batteries). This means I import the maximum at the lowest cost. Finally I set my immersion heater on for the lowest 6 slots to heat my hot water too. In the schedule below I harvested about £5 during the 24 hours (exported 31 kWh some of which was solar) for an import cost of 80p for 32 kWh. A net gain of £4.20 - not bad for 10 minutes work. Having to use Schedules for export and the Agile Scheduler for charging is a bit complicated and trips me up from time to time. The Schedules and Agile can also clash if the windows overlap, with unexpected results. Being able to do charge, export, hold, etc. on a slot by slot basis all from the one Agile scheduler would be great.

@"johalareewi"#p7858 Yep, this is the next biggish change we will roll out. Ability to set export slots from the Agile screen, clearly without any conditional logic and just an assumed 100% discharge/dump.

UI pretty much finalised for this change, we will get the scheduling aspect sorted next week hopefully and then will open it up initially to 2 or 3 users, so shout with your WattID if you're game, cheers! And enjoy the sunshine!

I had charge slots set up from 21.30 last night till 1.30 this morning. Charging started fine last night but it looks like there was a re- evaluation done just before midnight and charging stopped. Something to do with charge slots bridging the midnight period?
My export started fine at 1.30 and next charge at 5.30 was fine.

Same here. Had a charge block from 11:30pm to 1.30am. WW did commands to charge 11:30 to midnight, then commands to charge from 00:00 to 01:30 but the inverter never charged from midnight to 1:30.

Looks like the command sent at 00:02:01 turned of the AC charge enable flag and zapped the AC charge end time 🙁

Did a fix get rolled out for the midnight charge problem? Agile prices were low again last night but I played it safe and just set the charge to run from midnight to 5.00 which is shown in the logs but for some reason it was interrupted at 1.30 and then restarted.

I also noticed something not quite right at midnight. Both charge and discharge slots were selected. Clearing all export for both days sorted it. Here's my charging from last night

I noticed my battery was fully charged from 5% between 4h30 and 7 (5 slots) so I have tweaked my settings for today

Tricky to predict exactly how much time it'll take to drain and charge the battery during the day, especially when it's sunny and were cooking, washing, etc. I'm assuming they'll cancel each other out, but I'm predicting I'll miss one (or both) of those negative price slots due to 100% charge status.

Yes I also noticed an anomaly over midnight. Midnight should have been a charge slot within 23:30 to 01:30 but an export got set for some reason. The 00:00 - 01:00 export wasn't in any schedule. I should have had 90% charge at 01:30 for the 2 hour export but only had 37%.

Is this a recent thing? Trying to work out if this was related to a recent change or whether this has been an issue for a while but not cropped up?

admin That's difficult to say. The Agile prices were such that we all planned a charge through midnight yesterday and this may not have happened before so whether the bug is recent is unclear.

I set up another schedule last night from 23.30 to 3.00. Charging started ok at 23.30, the log shows it should have continued after midnight night but it didn't again. Strangely though there's another entry in the log at 1.30 and it started charging.

MikeC That was due to the re-eval.

The original issue (overwriting existing recently started charges and stopping) should now be sorted.

If you look back in the thread I had a similar problem 25days ago whereby exporting wasn't continuing over midnight .... are the problems related?

Another (or the same) anomaly at midnight.

My charge schedule was charge 0am to 1.30am, export 1.30am to 2.30am, charge 2.30am to 3.30am.

What the log shows is at midnight the charge was set to 0am to 3.30am. Then the export at 1.30am which is also in the log was trumped by the re-evaluation of the charge set earlier.

I'm going to set this setting back to 0 as I think it is conflicting with the new Agile functionalty.

You can see a small blip in charge at 1.30am as the charge and export commands were being sent to the Inverter at the same time and again at 2am with the conflicting instructions.

WindyMiller I think we agreed explicit Agile export should trump charge (even if it satisfies the 'always charge below' criterion, yes? We'll check this.

I didn't have an export set up but it still stopped charging at 1.30 and then started again.

admin What ever runs at midnight doesn't seem to check the upcoming export schedule and simply plans a charge right through. Once in the scheduler you have both charge and export instructions going to the inverter for the same slot which is never right (at 1.30am). So it is the logic running at midnight looking at how long to set the charge window for that is in error.

I did a test over midnight charge too. From 23:30 to 00:30.
The WW log says it split the charge block into 2 parts and the GE logs show this too.
But it worked this time.
